It’s barbecue season, and if you use a lot of grill seasonings, you might want to mix up a big batch of your own “house” seasoning. Use this one as a base and customize it as you wish—it’s great for grilled meat and poultry, but also adds some zing to nuts, popcorn or anything else that needs a little spice!
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 3/4 tsp ground ancho chile pepper
- 3/4 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a jar. Cover and shake well.
- Store in a cool, dry place up to 3-6 months.
Thanks so much, Kitty! This was very easy to make, and just what I needed to make my summer meals a little less boring! I even put a little on fish before baking…delicious!
