When noon-time stomach rumbles send you in search of acceptable vittles in an unfamiliar neighborhood, consider tapping this updated app for help. Find Me Gluten Free just announced the launch of their newly designed app and website (www.findmeglutenfree.com). Designed to help those with celiac disease or gluten-intolerance, as well as for their friends, family or anyone “consistently influenced by a gluten-free eater,” the Find Me Gluten Free app connects users with gluten-free friendly restaurants and businesses throughout the US and Canada.
Unlike other restaurant review sites, all ratings and reviews on Find Me Gluten Free are based on how gluten-free friendly the businesses are, and how seriously they take the gluten-free issue. It also serves as a brand-finder at stores. Users of the app can “Suggest a Business” via their own user profile, then submit and rate their individual dining experience or products purchased. Choose a specified radius (such as “Near Me” or “Near Addresses”) and the app will deliver reviewed business , ratings, reviews and tips. The app also provides a list of “Chain Menus” that are linked directly to the establishment’s website and/or gluten-free menu.
Find Me Gluten Free was started in 2010 by Jason Elmore, a gluten-free software developer from Connecticut (currently living in Austin, TX). Check them out on Facebook.
