We are two moms who live in Maine and spend our working days cooking, researching, teaching and writing about food. Kimberly’s husband, Mark, went gluten-free a few years ago. Everyday Gluten-Free Slow Cooking is the result of his dietary change. We believe that food should be easy to prepare and taste delicious. We strive for healthy, balanced eating but recognize the value of a homemade sweet, too…especially if chocolate is involved.
Kimberly Mayone is a published cookbook author and owner of WOW Delicious™, a company that works with clients to develop recipes to their specifications. She is also a regular contributor to Fresh Magazine, has written for Health magazine, is the editor of Flavorista.com, and is the co-author of the bestseller, The Everyday Low-Carb Slow Cooker Cookbook, and The Big Book of Low-Carb. Mayone is also an adjunct culinary arts instructor at Southern Maine Community College. She lives in South Portland, Maine, with her husband, three children and an 81 pound greyhound.
Kitty Broihier, MS, RD, LD is a published cookbook author and owner of NutriComm Inc., a food and nutrition communications consulting company serving food companies and public relations firms. Previously on the editorial staff at Good Housekeeping magazine, she has written many magazine articles and contributes regularly to a variety of national and regional publications. Broihier is a member of the American Dietetic Association and served two terms as the president of the Maine Dietetic Association. She is the co-author of the bestseller, The Everyday Low-Carb Slow Cooker Cookbook, as well as The Everything Vitamins, Minerals, and Nutritional Supplements Book; Everyday Low-Carb Desserts; and The Big Book of Low-Carb. She resides in South Portland, Maine with her husband and two children.
